The payment method is a very important feature of any e-commerce website because it gives customers and store owners an option to instantly pay and receive money for orders. In shopware 6, you can add many payment methods via apps/plugins also add custom payment methods for your users as well.

Please follow the below steps to create custom payment methods on shopware 6.

1. Open the Admin panel and go to Settings > Shop.

2. Click on the Payment option.

3. Now click on the ‘Add payment method‘ to add a new one.

4. Fill in all the required fields.

  • Name: Name of the payment method.
  • Position: Enter the position of this payment method. This position determines the order in which the payment types are displayed in the shop.
  • Description: Enter short descriptions of payment method.
  • Logo: You can add the payment method logo.
  • Active: You can activate or deactivate the payment method.
  • Allow payment change after checkout: You can also enable your customers to change the payment method after the order is completed within the customer account under Orders. If the switch is deactivated for a payment type, your customer can no longer select this payment type when changing the payment type after completing the order.

5. In the Availability rule you can determine when this payment method should be available. For this, you can use the rules of the Rule Builder or add a new rule to the Rule Builder directly from here.

6. After saving the payment method you can see the newly added payment method in the list. settings > shop > payment
