By default, shopware provide some layout that we can use. But to create a new custom layout according to your need in shopware 6. You can follow the below steps:
Step1: Login to the Admin panel and go to the Content > Shopping Experiences.
Step2: Click on the “Create new layout” button to create a new one.
Step 3: Now you need to choose the layout type. You select one of them as per your need
- Shop page: All the service pages of the shop is known as the shop page. Eg:- Terms & Condition page, Contact Form, and Shipping conditions.
- Landing page: It offers you a wide range of design and marketing options in your shop. These can be theme pages, in which marketing can be done.
- Listing page: It basically a product listing page. You can dynamically display text from the corresponding category on a listing page.
- Product page: Each product has its own product page on which all information about this product can be found and on which the product can be placed in the shopping basket.
Note: These different layout types will help you find existing layouts faster. You may change the layout type afterward at any time via the layout settings. I’m going to create a shop page layout to show you how it will be created.
Step 4: Choose the section type which you want. Sections divide your working space into areas and help you to be more creative. You may combine different sections and move or delete them at any time.
- Sidebar: The sidebar can be used to display the category navigation, filters, or both.
- Full width: It covers the whole area to design the layout.
Step 5: After selecting the section type. Enter the layout name and click on the “create layout” button.
Step 6: Click on the plus( + ) icon to select the block category options.
Step 7:- There are different block category options which are Text, Images, Video, Text & images, Commerce, Sidebar, Form. You can choose one of them as per your requirement.
Step 8: I choose the images option. In the block category, various predefined blocks are available.
Step 9: You can drag and drop them into the editor and place them in the desired position.
Step 10: Click on the “setting” option to add the images.
Step 11: Click on the upload file to add an image. And after you upload the image click on the Done button.
Step 12: Now click on the Save button to save all the progress and assign this layout which you create will be shown on the frontend.
Step 13: Go to the Catalogues>Categories and click on the category where you want to assign this layout. I’m going to assign this layout to the Demo category.
Step 14: Go to the Layout option and click on the Change layout button to change the current layout which is assigned into the Demo category.
Step 15: Choose the layout which we created in the above steps and click on the Save button.
Step 16: Now click on the Save button of the categories.
