To Built your eCommerce Store, It is necessary to create Products. Follow the steps to create a new product in Shopify. After finishing the basic information, it is possible to complete the advanced setting if you need it. Please note that some features are only available after you have saved the products for the first time.
To create a Product follow below steps:
Step 1: Login to admin panel and go to Products.
Step 2: Click on Add Product.
Step 3: The following fields are required:
Title: Enter the product name. This name will appear among others in the list of products and will be used as a header on the product detail page.
Description: In the description field, you have the possibility to offer an overview of the product. The data stored here is displayed, for example, on the product detail page.
Step 4: Upload media file by clicking on Add file.
Step 5: Enter the price of the product. You can also enter a comparison price for the customer’s reference. Check the box below to make sure you include the tax included in the product.
Step 6: For your inventory, enter the desired SKU, barcode, and also you can track quantity by checkmark box, you can continue selling when out of stock. Enter the quantity in the quantity available section.
Step 7: If your product requires shipping, select the checkbox, and enter the weight of the item and select the Country of origin.
Step 8: Add the “variants” of your product, as our product can be of different colors and sizes. You can add your price individually if it varies.
Step 9: Shopify now offers you an option for SEO as you can now edit your meta title and meta description which will appear as a customer search for your product.
Step 10: Click on Save button.
