Creating Text Email Template in Salesforce
To create a text email template in Salesforce, follow these steps:
Step-1: Log in to your Salesforce ORG. Then, click on the “App Launcher” icon in the top-left corner of the screen.
Step-2: In the App Launcher, search for “Email Templates” and click on it. It will open the Email Templates page.
Step-3: On the top-right corner of the page, click on the “New Email Template” button to start creating of a new email template.
Step-4: Then, enter the “Email template Name“, select the “Related Entity Type” and also select the folder where you want to save the template.
Step-5: Then, enter the “Subject” of the email in the subject field.
Step-6: In the “Text Body” field, enter the message body of the email. You can use the formatting toolbar to add bold, italic, or underlined text. You can create bulleted or numbered lists, set alignments, and more. You can also use the HTML values, add hyperlinks and add images in the email body.
Step-7: In addition, You can add “Merge Fields” by clicking the “{ }” button in the bottom-right corner of the “Message Content” section. When you use the template to send emails, the information from Salesforce Records replaces these fields.
Step-8: Finally, click the “Save” button to create the template.
