Frequently Asked Questions
Why don't your packages show prices?
Pricing is tailored to your website size, industry competition, and target market. A 5-page local business and a 500-page ecommerce store both need SEO, but the scope is completely different. We quote after a free analysis so you're not overpaying for work your site doesn't need, or underpaying for a plan that won't move the needle.
Which package is right for me?
As a general guide: Classic suits new websites or local businesses just starting out; Professional fits growing SMEs with some existing presence; Signature is the most popular choice for established brands wanting full SEO + AEO + GEO coverage; Elite is designed for enterprises or agencies managing multiple sites. If you're unsure, request the free analysis and we'll recommend the right tier based on your site and goals.
Is there a minimum contract length?
Most of our packages run on a 3-6 month minimum, with the option to continue monthly after that. SEO takes time to build momentum, and shorter engagements rarely reach the point where results compound. We'd rather earn your trust through results than lock you into a lengthy commitment.
What does onboarding look like after I sign up?
In the first two weeks, we deliver a full technical audit, keyword research report, baseline rankings snapshot, content strategy outline, and KPIs with a projected timeline. Optimization work begins in week three, once we're aligned on strategy and priorities.
How long does SEO take to show results?
The typical trajectory: initial setup in the first 30-60 days, early movement in months 2-4, meaningful gains in months 4-8, and compounding growth from month 9 onward. For competitive industries or brand-new domains, allow for the longer end of that window. We set realistic milestones at the start so you always know what to expect and when.
Can you guarantee first-page rankings?
No, and no legitimate SEO provider can. Search engine algorithms change constantly, and rankings depend on competitor actions and hundreds of factors outside anyone's control. What we guarantee is white-hat, sustainable work with transparent monthly reporting. Be wary of any agency promising #1 rankings within 30-60 days.
How do you measure success beyond keyword rankings?
Rankings are one signal among many. We track organic traffic growth, click-through rate, leads and conversions from organic search, and for Signature and Elite packages, AI citation frequency across ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity. We map your progress toward ROI throughout the engagement, not just at the end.
What exactly is AEO, and why do I need it?
AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) is about getting AI engines to quote your content when they answer a user's question. When someone asks ChatGPT or Perplexity about your industry, the model writes a fresh answer from sources it trusts. If your brand isn't inside that answer, you lose the customer before they ever visit your site. AEO also covers Google's featured snippets, People Also Ask boxes, and voice results.
What's the difference between AEO and GEO?
AEO makes your content easy to extract: it reduces friction between a user's question and your answer, winning featured snippets and direct answer boxes. GEO goes a step further, optimizing for how large language models select and trust sources when synthesizing a full response. In practice: AEO wins the snippet; GEO gets your brand recommended when someone asks an AI assistant which product or service to choose.
How do you monitor whether my brand is appearing in AI answers?
We query ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews monthly (weekly on Elite) using the questions your customers are most likely to ask. We log every mention, citation, and miss, then adjust your content strategy accordingly. Between 40-60% of cited sources change month-to-month across AI platforms, so this is active ongoing work, not a one-time setup.
Is SEO still worth doing now that AI answers so many searches?
Yes. AEO and SEO are not competing strategies; they run in parallel and share most of the same underlying work (schema, entity clarity, content structure). Strong SEO is also the foundation AI engines read first to decide whether to trust and cite your site. And AI citation traffic, when it does convert, tends to do so at a significantly higher rate than regular organic search.
Will I own all the content and assets you create?
Yes. All content written, technical configurations, and optimizations carried out under your package belong to you. You'll always have full access to your Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and reporting dashboards. Bay20 never locks clients into proprietary platforms.
What makes Bay20 different from other India-based SEO agencies?
Three things: we combine classic SEO with AEO and GEO in every package rather than selling them as expensive add-ons; we've been working with international clients since 2014 with certified partnerships across Magento, Shopify, and BigCommerce; and we follow 100% white-hat practices. Undoing damage from cheap or aggressive SEO can cost more than doing it right from the start.
Do you work with businesses outside India?
Yes. The majority of our SEO clients are based in the US, UK, Europe, and Australia. All communication is in English, and we align reporting and calls to your time zone.
I see directory submissions in the off-page plan. Is that still effective in 2026?
Good question. Directory submissions in our packages refer to high-quality, niche-relevant directories, not mass-blast spam lists. Spammy or automated tactics can trigger algorithm penalties and cause lasting damage to your site's reputation. Our off-page work is manually curated and reviewed. If you'd like a breakdown of which directories we use for your industry, ask during the free analysis.
