How To Add Languages In Shopware 6

To add language in shopware 6 you need to follow some steps.

Step 1: Login to the admin and go to the Settings.

 Step 2: Click on the Languages option.  

Note: If you’re not finding your language option just be sure that by default, in your settings the Shop option is given just after your sidebar is selected. 

Step 3: Click on Add Language.

Note: Here you can edit the existing languages just by clicking on the name of the language.

Step 4:  Fill in the required fields which are denoted by *.

(1) Name: You need to provide your language identity.

(2) ISO code: Get the ISO-Code of the provided language.

(3) Inherit from: Its indicate whether your created language should inherit from an already existing language.

Note:- A language can only inherit from one language at a time and this is not possible over multiple levels. This field is not require you can skip this if you want to.

(4) Locale: You can specify the localization of your language.

Step 5: Now, after filling the required fields, you just need to click on the Save button.

Step 6: After getting back to the Settings > Languages you’ll see your created language in the table. Congratulations you have created your New Language.  

To show these languages in the frontend you have to assign these languages in your sales channel and for that, you need to look after our adding sales channel blog.

Language has been added to your sales channel. To see the changes go to your frontend.
