Bigcommerce PWA Catalyst is a headless eCommerce storefront framework. It is intended primarily to provide faster and a more engaging shopping experience while positioning itself in the growing competition. In such an architecture, the merchants are also able to create unique performance-driven storefronts. It doesn’t need to give up on the powerful imperative features of BigCommerce.
Follow the guide to install Bigcommerce PWA by using Catalyst.
Step 1: Open the terminal and run the following command.
npm create @bigcommerce/catalyst@latest
Step 2: After running this command, add your project name and select the “Yes” option to connect to a Bigcommerce store through the terminal.

Step 3: Once this process is complete, click the link provided in the terminal. This will open the BigCommerce admin panel.

Step 4: Select a store and enter the provided code in the terminal then click next. Then you’ll see the “allow” and “deny” buttons. You have to click the Allow button.

Step 5: Now, go back to the terminal, and you’ll see the message “device code authorized”. Then, select the “Yes” option to create a new channel and enter a channel name. Wait until the Catalyst project files are generated for development.

Step 6: After completing the process, Use the command provided by the terminal.

Step 7: Now, open the localhost URL in the browser.
Step 8: Finally, you can see a new channel inside the channel manager of your Bigcommerce admin panel.
