How to Customize Shopify Email Templates?

Shopify Email templates, also known as Email Notification templates, are pre-built email structures that are sent to customers in Shopify. These templates are used to send notification emails to customers about different store events, such as products purchased, orders fulfilled, and more. Shopify stores have many email templates, which you can access from the notification section of the Shopify settings.

You can customize your email templates by adding branding based on your store design. You can also edit the content of these email templates according to your needs. While customizing the email template code, you can use HTML, CSS, and liquid variables.

To customize the Shopify email templates, follow these steps:

1. Verify your Sender email.

If you have verified your email, you can skip this part.

1. Open your Shopify admin panel.
2. Click Settings from the bottom-left corner of the screen.
3. Click on the Notification tab from the sidebar.
4. Then, click on the Resend verification link. This will send a verification email.
5. Thereafter, click the Verify email button from the email to complete the verification.

2. Customize the Email templates.

1. Open the settings and go to the notifications section, as mentioned earlier.
2. Then, go to Customer notifications.
3. You will see a list of different types of email templates like Order processing, Local pickup, etc.
4. Each type has some email templates associated with it.
5. If you want to add your brandings, click the Customize email templates button and add your brandings.
6. Then, select any of the email templates that you want to customize.
7. Afterward, click the Edit code button. It will open the email template editor.
8. If you have not verified your Sender’s email, you will see a message to verify it first. You can not edit the email templates until you verify the Sender’s email.
9. Here, you can use HTML, CSS, and liquid variables inside the email template editor.
10. You can preview the edited email template by clicking the Preview button.
11. Once you complete the customization, click the Save button from the top.
