Email template is an order confirmation email that informs customers who have received and / or processed their order. The order confirmation emails contain important transaction details such as delivery address, purchased items, amount paid and many more.
To create Email Template for Order follow below steps:
Step 1: Login to admin panel and go to Marketing -> Communications -> Email Templates.
Step 2: Click on Add New Template.
Step 3: Select the New Order template in the Template section and click on Load Template.
Step 4: Enter the Template Name for your template.
Step 5: If you need to Change Template Content then you can change it as you wish. We can also add Template Style(Optional).
Step 6: Click on Save Template button.
Assigning Email Template
After Creating new template you need to assign it to the store configurations.To assign email template follow the below steps:
Step 1: Login to admin panel and go to Stores ->Setting -> Configuration.
Step 2: Go to Sales -> Sales Emails.
Step 3: Then go to Order section and expand by clicking on that, Go to New Order Confirmation Template and remove the checkmark Use system value and choose the template from the list.
Step 4: Click on Save Config button.
