Follow the steps for creating coupons:
Step 1: First, log in to your store go to Marketing>Coupons code, and click on Create a coupon code.
Step 2: Next, you’ll get an interface like this. Fill in the fields according to your needs.
Fields information:
- Coupon Code: This is auto-generated but you can edit it according to you.
- Coupon Name: For identification of coupon it will not show to the customers.
- Discount Type: Select the type of Discount you want to create.
- Discount Amount: The Amount of the discount you’re going to offer based on the Discount Type previously selected.
- Minimum purchase: For setting the minimum purchase amount so, the coupons only apply if the order total reaches a certain threshold.
- Number of Uses: For setting the limit customers can use coupons and how many times they can use.
- Exclude cart-level discounts: To make sure the coupon does not apply the discount on top of cart-level discounts.
- Enabled: To enable the coupon code for use.
- Expiration: For setting the Expiration time of coupons.
Step 3: Then, set up the Coupon conditions.
- Coupon codes can be used only on items within a specific category.
- Coupon codes can be used only on specific Products.
Step 4: Then, set up any location or shipping method restrictions on the Advanced tab:
- Limit by Location: It allows you to limit the coupon’s usage to certain countries, states, and even zip codes.
- Limit by Shipping: It allows you to limit the coupon to a specific shipping carrier.
Step 5: Finally, after doing set up click on the save button.
